From Somerset to Stardom: Story of Jos Buttler’s success
The ideology that a skipper purposely induces in the ‘dressing room’ is basically the deciding factor of a team's future. Hence, it’s very vital that the leader hits the right notes to get the best out of his men. For instance, Virat Kohli inculcated an atmosphere where all the players in the team worked on their fitness and where every player looked to dominate no matter in which part of the world they were playing. Similarly, in recent years, the England team’s skipper- Jos Butler is implanting the ‘Bazball’ style, where the focal point lies on smashing almost every ball.
As a great leader, Butler has evolved his game to meet the standards demanded by this new approach. He is a right handed batsman and a wicket keeper. His gaming style is so noteworthy that today, in this article by ZAP cricket, we talk about the captain and GOAT of ECB- Jos Buttler.

Jos Buttler’s International career
Born on 8 September, 1990, Butler went to King’s College, Taunton. He played domestic cricket for Lancashire. He made his T20I debut on 31 August 2011 vs India, his ODI debut on 21 February, 2012 vs Pakistan and Test debut on 27 July, 2014 vs India. Presently, he is the captain of the England Cricket Team in limited overs.
His career as a player and as a captain has been prolific. In June 2022 he was appointed as the captain and since then the team has achieved great heights. One of the notable achievements has been the triumph of the 2022 T20 World Cup. Other than that, in bilateral series as well, his team has played a different brand of cricket. No matter where they are playing, or on which pitch, the clarity has always been there within his subordinates. His ideology as a skipper has done wonders for the side. Along with that, his individual records have also blossomed. We always see him playing the role of an anchor, exactly what a skipper is expected to do.

Butler played his last test on 22 January, 2022 vs Australia and since then his prime focus has been on white ball cricket.
