To unearth this talent and put them on the biggest stage, the BCCI, just like the IPL, has launched its new sporting league, the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) T10 Tournament. Backed by former players and with celebrity team owners, the tournament is set to revolutionize and modernize the street cricket sport in India.

ISPL T10 Format:
The Indian Street Premier League has one mission - identification, development, and promotion of the street cricket culture of India. The league was launched with the backing of high-ranking BCCI committee members like ADV. Ashish Shelar, the Treasurer of the BCCI, Ravi Shastri, the League Mentor, and Mr. Amol Kale, the president of the Mumbai Cricket Association. The tournament will be a T10 Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament, with 10 overs a side, planned to be held from 6th to 15th March 2024 in Mumbai.
ISPL Team and Owners:
The Indian Street Premier League will bring together six teams representing different regions of India. Each team boasts celebrity co-owners, adding an extra layer of glamour and excitement to the tournament. The teams and their respective owners are as follows:
Kolkata: Owned by duo Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan
Mumbai: Owned by the iconic Amitabh Bachchan
Srinagar: Owned by the dynamic Akshay Kumar
Bengaluru: Owned by Hrithik Roshan
Chennai: Owned by Suriya
Hyderabad: Owned by Ram Charan.
The ISPL also invited bids from others at a starting price of 10 lakh rupees to be co-owners of the teams, along with the above celebrities.
ISPL T10 Registration Process:
The Indian Street Premier League was founded with the goal of redefining street cricket in India by giving up-and-coming Indian players a strong platform. The most interesting part of this league is that there are no age restrictions, so anyone can compete in this massive tournament. Until January 14, 2024, prospective players can still register. ISPL T10 Selection Process:

The legendary cricketer and the former Indian Team Coach and now the league's Chief Mentor, Ravi Shastri will head the selection panel which includes Pravin Ambre and Jatin Paranjape will shortlist applicants based on their profiles. Selected players will be given golden tickets for city trials. Although there is no minimum age requirement to participate, it is recommended that every team should have a minimum of one player under the age of 19. The selection committee will conduct physical trials on the appointed date.
- Players who pass the physical trials will receive an invitation to participate in city trials in Mumbai on either January 20th or 21st, 2024.
- From there, the committee will choose 350 eligible players for the competition.
- Following that, 96 players will be selected in the Indian Street Premier League player auction scheduled for February 2024.
