Sawai Mansingh Stadium: The heart of Pink city
Rajasthan Royals is one of the strongest teams in the IPL. They lifted the first title under the captaincy of Shane Warne and have been in the top four almost every time. To train their players better, the franchisee has opened its academies in various parts of the world. The team also trains at its home ground- The Sawai Mansingh Stadium, which is also home ground for Rajasthan State Cricket Team. Today, in this article by ZAP cricket, we will discuss this majestic ground only, which is located in the heart of pink city- SMS Cricket Ground.
The ground was built during the reign of Sawai Man Singh II and hence was named after him. The seating capacity of this ground is 30,000 spectators and the end names are Van Vihar Colony End and Garh Ganesh Temple End.
The ground was established in 1969 and since then it has hosted plenty of international matches.
