WPL 2025: The Game Changer for Women’s Cricket

The preparations for WPL 2025 are at full swing as 22 matches will be played among five teams. The inclusion of WPL has resulted in growth of women’s cricket across the globe and it would be really exciting to see the third edition as more players have now come up the ranks. Unlike the first edition, which was held in a hybrid manner, this year’s WPL will be played in four cities. Thus, inviting spectators from different parts of the country. The tournament will commence on 14th February, 2025 at BCA Stadium, Vadodara and the finals will be played at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai on 15th March, 2025. So, mark your calendars as you will be witnessing some top brand of cricket from the best cricketers in the world.

WPL 2025 Match details

All matches will start at 19:30 IST. First six matches will be played at BCA stadium, Vadodara. Then, for the next eight matches, the base will shift to M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore. After that, Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow will host the next four matches. Lastly, two league matches, eliminator and finals will be played at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. Hence, every team, except Delhi Capitals, will get home advantage at some or the other phase of the league. 

Since matches will be played at four different venues this year, adaptability will be the key to triumph. Players who acclimatize faster will get an edge. Apart from that, turf will be batting friendly in all the four venues. Hence, it will be a treat for all the power hitters and a testing period for all the bowlers.
